Dear Andrew,

My wife and I stayed at The Beales Hotel, Hatfield at the weekend and we would like to offer our thanks for an excellent experience. Having stayed at many hotels around the UK for business and leisure over the last few years, we are often disappointed at the levels of service we receive.

The service at your hotel was outstanding. The check in was fast and efficient and the receptionist was welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is stunning and far superior to its original condition and we got the impression you have worked hard to think of everything. The décor reminded us of the K West in Kensington, although I would say you beat them in all areas. We had lunch in the bar which was excellent and again your staff made us feel welcome and valuable. I get the impression that while you see the need to make a profit, there’s a greater need to exceed expectations. Decent coffee and complimentary pastries made our day. There are so many other points I could mention as it’s rare to be treated so well. Please forward our comments to the Manager as he clearly works hard to motivate his staff and maintain excellent levels of service. I wish you well as you continue to carry the Beales legacy into the 21st century. Best Regards,
